We have finished the publications for Blackberry US, Canada- English, Canada- French and Australia. All four of the magazines went to print and look great! On the Blackberry publications I worked as a retoucher for app icons and screenshots. It was my job to convert the images from RGB to CMYK, change the resolution to 300dpi, and edit the images to enhance the quality.
The T-Mobile magazine just went to print as well. I played a much bigger role in the design concept and layout for the T-Mobile publication. I was even given the title of Assistant Creative Director. I designed a few 1 page stories, as well as a 6 page spread about an up and coming hip-hop artist.
We are still working on the Microsoft Health Benefits magazine. I am continuing to work remotely and am assisting as much as possible from here in Connecticut. I also earned the title of Assistant Creative Director for this publication due to my level of creative contribution. I designed the logo around which the campaign is based. I also designed several of the page layouts and a few different cover options.
Although my school internship requirement of 120 hours has long been met, I have been given the opportunity to continue working for Gubbins Light & Power Company remotely throughout the school year. This has been such a great opportunity, and I look forward to my continued growth in this company.

I am currently in Nashville, TN. I have been flown in to work on final edits on publications for Blackberry, T-mobile, and Microsoft. I also was given the opportunity to design a logo for the Microsoft "I heart my heart" health benefits campaign. My personal design will be featured in publications internationally as well as on other various marketing designs for the campaign. It has been thrilling to work for such big name international clients, and I know my involvement in these publications will be awesome on my resume.

Overview
Gubbins Light & Power Company publishes quarterly magazines for T-Mobile, Research In Motion (BlackBerry publications in the US, Canada and Australia) and Microsoft. I will be helping in a variety of areas, including design, editorial and production, for an average of 10 hours per week. This will be a great way for me to get diverse, hands-on experience with major Fortune 500 clients. I hope to attain some serious resume building credits and a much stronger grasp on professional/commercial graphic design.
